GEAR & SPLINE GRINDING

Avion provides gear and spline grinding services for a variety of tooth forms:

  • Involute spur and helical, both internal and external, teeth
  • Involute internal and external splines
  • Special form splines and gear teeth, both internal and external
  • Single and multi-start worms
  • Single and multi-start internal and external threads and ball screw forms
  • We can perform any type of crowing of teeth and just about any type of profile modifications required.
  • Our grinding capabilities are limited to parts under 19.7” (500MM) in diameter and up to just under 40” (1000MM) in length.
  • We can grind internals and externals using CBN or vitrified wheels, depending on job requirements.
  • We are achieving qualities as high as AGMA 14 (DIN 3) and provide all analytical charts and data with each batch of parts or as required.
